our history: 
always evolving

In 2016, Scott left his corporate-world career to start Edgewater Pools with then-partner Robert (who has since retired). Over the course of the next 6 years, the company grew quickly on the back of its high-quality swimming pool projects in Northwest Austin.  

When the COVID era hit, the company was poised to explode due to its strong operational infrastructure and solid pool of subcontractors (pun intended).  Edgewater Pools took on more projects than ever and although build times lengthened due to supply constraints, we continued to deliver amazing pools.  The big freeze in February 2021 presented even more challenges for the company as we continued to build pools while also assisting many customers with finding equipment and restarting their pools once they thawed. 

During our growth, we've adopted a full-service approach to our projects.  We've built a ton of pergolas, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens.  We've even built some pizza ovens, grottos, and slides.  We've transitioned our equipment set to keep up with technology and deliver the best experience to our pool owners. We continue to offer assistance with irrigation, grass, and landscaping so our customers don't have to manage those projects.

In 2021, Robert retired from the company and Brian joined as a new partner.  Brian brought a fresh approach to our construction processes and introduced improved quality assurance methods.  Shortly thereafter, the company doubled down on technology, adopting project management software (specific to the swimming pool construction industry), and transformed how we communicate with our teams. 

We're proud of the backyards we've changed over the years. Whether it's a cabana, a spa, a negative edge pool, or a fire pit, we're honored and blessed to have touched so many families.

After spending years in Austin's start-up space, Scott brings a fresh perspective to the custom pool industry.  He has become quite the equipment, automation, and hydraulics geek, which most of our customers love. Scott brings a start-up approach to running the business, and has an uncanny knack for pool design. Scott serves as a primary point of contact for our prospective customers and pool owners alike. 

Scott is married and has a young daughter. He plays volleyball several times a week and is an usher at Hill Country Bible Church.

Growing up in a family business, Scott was immersed in the values of hard work and dedication from a young age, which shapes his approach to every endeavor.

Scott delved into the world of big tech, where he had the privilege of managing and building effective teams across the United States. His role expanded globally as a project manager overseeing cutting-edge hardware and software products on the world stage.

Throughout his career, one principle has remained unwavering: a relentless focus on the customer experience. Scott is thrilled to combine his passion for excellence with the dream of transforming your backyard into an oasis.

Scott is married with 3 children and enjoys traveling, is a car enthusiast, and a Dallas sports fanatic.
